Fulcher Foundation was incorporated in 2005 as a private charitable foundation in Canada to cultivate and encourage activities that improve the quality of life in Nova Scotia. Our emphasis is to support initiatives that help address issues of inclusiveness, rural economic growth, and sustainability in ways that respond to the unique needs of communities and citizens. The focus of the Foundation is on work that addresses the root causes of problems and challenges facing our communities. Income generated from the capital of the Foundation is invested in projects and activities that support the mission of the Foundation.
About our Founders
Wayne Fulcher
Wayne served as the founder and Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors until January 2024. As a resident of Lunenburg County, Wayne was a driving force in supporting community leaders in the County to develop responses and resources that drive results, making Lunenburg County and Nova Scotia a place where people want to live, work, and do business.
Passionate about the future of Nova Scotia, Wayne and his wife Mary Ann established Fulcher Foundation in 2007 to help address issues of inclusiveness and rural economic growth and sustainability in ways that respond to the unique needs of communities and citizens.
Wayne passed away on January 29, 2024, after a health event. Anyone who met or knew Wayne understood his belief in possibilities and his commitment to making opportunities for others along with the enjoyment he took from meeting and talking with people. Wayne’s leadership at our table will be truly missed.
Mary Ann Fulcher
Mary Ann Fulcher passed away on February 13, 2021, but left behind her a legacy of good works for causes she was deeply committed to. Her kindness and caring will always be remembered and will live on in many ways, including through this Foundation.
